Know your body type

First and foremost, to choose the style of jeans, that suits you best, you need to know your body type. There is a variety of jeans-style available in our markets. And of course, you can try them all, but the one that will suit you depends on your body type. No worries, I will be guiding you in detail here that why selecting jeans as per your body type is so important.

 Pear Shape

The pear shape is characterized by shoulders and bust that are smaller than the hips and a defined, often high, waist.

Women with pear figures tend to have a smaller bust and larger hips/thighs, so to create balance with this shape you should avoid high-waisted jeans. Instead, opt for low to mid-rise jeans. These jeans will help balance your bottom half and make you look great.

Column Figure

The Column figure is straight and slender. The shoulder width is the same as the hip-width. A slim waist, longer legs and they don't have much of a burst, tummy, or bottom. This figure might look a little masculine if not dressed up accurately. To flatter your column figure, choose styles that will create shapes and curves for you. Try skinny and mid to high-rise jeans to create waist definition. The slim fit will also be helpful to highlight the curves of your thighs. The bell-bottoms that is currently in fashion will also look good on you.

Hourglass Figure

Consider yourself lucky if you have an hourglass figure, as you look good in most of the styles of jeans. However, high-waisted jeans or skinny jeans will look best on you. Skinny jeans will stick to the curves of your legs, highlighting your feminine shape. High-waisted jeans, on the other hand, will draw eyes to your defined waist. I personally love wearing high-waisted jeans as it defines the curves around my waist, hips, also I find them comfortable than the low-waisted jeans.

Curvy Figure

If you have a curvy figure, then you are strictly advised not to wear loose or baggy jeans. We often think of wearing loose clothes to hide those extra bulges that we don't want anyone to see. But, the excess fabric will only make you look bigger than you are. You are not suggested here to wear body-hugging clothes but we have several options that can help hide those extra bulges as well as define those curves at the same time. For you, I would suggest the skinnies and lightly flared shapes but do try to avoid extra skinny as they can make you look bulky. Further, the dark-wash denim with a mid to high-rise is highly suggested for the curvy figure.
